It would be useful for bug reporting if the website displayed its version number.
Then, when people make reports to RT about OpenGuides, they can quote a version number.
Thoughts are to pass this in to the homepage template (no problem here as only the home page needs to worry about it). Or as a general TT parameter available to all the page templates. Can you read TT variables from inside a page's wiki markup? As in:
