Subject: Aborting 'make manifest' can leave you with a broken MANIFEST
Stopping 'make manifest' can leave you with a partially written MANIFEST file. Fortunately, you can restore from MANIFEST.bak. What should be done is a MANIFEST.new written and then the old MANIFEST copied to MANIFEST.bak and then MANIFEST.new renamed MANIFEST.

Since ExtUtils-Manifest is now maintained primarily by Perl 5 Porters, I have opened a ticket to discuss the issue above at: https://rt.perl.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=122421 This rt.cpan.org ticket is now closable. Thank you very much. Jim Keenan

Change of maintainership: ExtUtils-Manifest is now being maintained by Perl Toolchain Gang. This ticket is referenced among others at: https://github.com/Perl-Toolchain-Gang/ExtUtils-Manifest/issues/1
