Subject: Testing locale dependent message string against English
Have you got http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.cpan.testers/2007/11/msg784219.html ? My smokes are running under a German locale exactly to catch such mistakes. Sorry for the bad news.

Ooh, foolish me! I didn't even think of that... What's the best way to test for that? Checking errno.h numbers instead of text error messages? Thanks for the report. Chris

OK, I just uploaded a v0.05 to PAUSE which uses numeric $! compared to POSIX qw(:errno_h) instead of comparing to English prose. Thank you so much for this report! You CPAN testers have found more important bugs in my modules than all other reporters combined.. Chris
