I think you can get the bug report patches off the CPAN RT service
as one of their maintainers describes below.
I'm still not sure if the patch should be diff -ru tho! Assuming

RT doesn't currently forward attachments, but instead
makes them available via http://rt.cpan.org. I'll add a note to the
mail sent to maintainers about this until the code forwards them.
You can download the patches via the web ui, for example at:
