I ran make test for Crypt::Random, and it got as far as "t/generator..........ok 4/18" and then sat there and did nothing. I tried several more times, and it never got further than 4 - sometimes it got stuck on 1. I went ahead and did make install anyway, but I'm hoping the failure on make test doesn't mean that any module using Crypt::Random is going to hang? -Ted

I've seen this as well. It looks like it's hanging on the first test which is reading from /dev/random. That blocks when the entropy is empty. You should probably have the test have a timeout so this doesn't hang CPAN installs. :-/
