I can't follow you. I'd argue that it is *extremely* relevant how this
software fares on other systems, even more so if it just failed on
your system. I understand that the wording failed to set the
expectations straight.

I like this and I just checked it in. But I'm not in favor of
considering already installed software when talking about options. I
have something to offer, the user must decide if he wants it.
Installed software is no vote for or against anything, the
installation can be deliberately or unintentionally incomplete.
