Subject: Detection should be based on sysObjectID - not on sysDescr
I think primarily the detection of vendor should be based on OID provided by SNMP object: SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 - not on SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 Vlad

Version 2.00 uses both sysObjectID and sysDescr for detection. sysDescr is now used to differentiate between models of the same vendor which require different classes.
