Subject: [BUG] Scalar::Util pre-req version wrong
Hi, Looks like the Scalar::Util pre-req's version number needs updating - it uses the refaddr() function, which was only added to Scalar::Util in v1.09. This breaks out-of-the-box CPAN installs. Regards, -Steve

Thanks Steve, I'm in the middle of fixing this but I've run into a snag. It seems that when someone downloads the latest Scalar::Util they still get the old one because the new one gets installed in site_perl. Did this happen to you? Looking at perl -V, it seems to me that the search order is backwards, surely /usr/lib/perl/site_perl should be checked _before_ /usr/lib/perl otherwise how can you upgrade core modules (without using obscure switched on Makefile.PL) F On Wednesday 09 July 2003 11:06, Steve_Purkis via RT wrote: Show quoted text
