Subject: No creator code on /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder
So, Mac::Carbon fails tests on a MBP bought yesterday (which presumably came with some annoyingly cutting-edge version of macos that noone else has installers for): # Failed test 'creator of '/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder'' # at MacPerl/t/MacPerl.t line 67. # got: '' # expected: 'MACS' And sure enough.. $ /Developer/Tools/GetFileInfo /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder file: "/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder" type: "" creator: "" attributes: aVbstclinmedz created: 12/07/2006 16:42:37 modified: 12/07/2006 16:42:37 So either my system is hopelessly broken, or Apple now care _so_ little about creator codes that they no longer set them on system stuff. Either way, I felt you should know about it...
