Subject: Add a timeout to prompts
Sometimes I start a big installation in the CPAN shell and walk away only to come back to find it waiting at: ==> Auto-install the 2 mandatory module(s) from CPAN? [y] Some way of setting a global timeout for Module::AutoInstall's prompts would be nice. Perhaps simply an environment variable so that something like the CPAN shell can set it.
Hi. I think we can close this ticket as M::I's prompt (which now delegates to EUMM's prompt) accepts PERL_MM_USE_DEFAULT, and we can set "--default" to "makepl_arg" in the CPAN shell. If you think we definitely need a real timeout support (with alarm or something), please reopen this. On 2007-7-07 Sat 17:42:45, MSCHWERN wrote: Show quoted text
