Subject: deprecated MIME::Head::decode() has been removed
We're using MIME-tools within Sympa Mailing Lists Manager (http://www.sympa.org). Many users have reported problems with MIME-tools 6.200 : the script (Sympa server) is dying because it uses the MIME::Head::decode() that has been removed. MIME-tools 6.200 is a beta, will MIME::Head::decode() repappear in next release ? We need to access decoded MIME Header fields, how should we do it ? Using MIME::Words::decode_mimewords() ? We'd much prefer that you keep MIME::Head::decode() existing (though it could be doing nothing and print warnings) instead of removing it completely (making our server die). Thanks.

I will probably re-add it, and have it decode to UTF8. Eryq

The MIME-tools 6.x codebase is pretty much dead on the vine. Incremental development will continue on 5.x, where decode() is still alive and well.
