I believe the $BASE_URL has changed from "www." to "api.".
You have:
our $BASE_URL = "http://www.nabaztag.com/vl/FR/api.jsp" ;
And it now appears to be:
our $BASE_URL = "http://api.nabaztag.com/vl/FR/api.jsp" ;
