Subject: Please create a new EU-MM release containing core changes suitable for perl-5.8.9
As mentioned on the makemaker mailing list a couple of months ago, a number of core perl changes that would be good for 5.8.9 have not yet appeared in a "stable" release of MakeMaker and hence can't be integrated: http://www.mail-archive.com/makemaker@perl.org/msg02492.html At the time the list was these three changes: http://public.activestate.com/cgi-bin/perlbrowse/p/29266 [already incorporated into 'ExtUtils-MakeMaker/trunk'] http://public.activestate.com/cgi-bin/perlbrowse/p/29580 http://public.activestate.com/cgi-bin/perlbrowse/p/29581 http://public.activestate.com/cgi-bin/perlbrowse/p/29583 Other changes suitable for 5.8.9 may also have been introduced since then. Hopefully people will find this ticket and add them here if there are any more.

Got that. I've diff'd with bleadperl and integrated most of the changes there. A new version should be released before the weekend.
