installation of Want 0.15 fails
dmake.EXE: makefile: line 838: Error: -- A non AUGMAKE meta target
must not be mixed with AUGMAKE meta targets, offending target [Want.c]
C:\vanilla-perl\dmake\bin\dmake.EXE -- NOT OK
It installs ok when these files are removed.

Interesting, thanks!
These spurious files result from a slightly odd (and apparently
undocumented) behaviour of tar on Mac OS 10.4.x: it creates these
._files to store the extended attributes (filesystem metadata) of files
in the archive.
I can't find an easy way to suppress them. So I shall do it a difficult
way, I suppose. :-/

update this bug report for Want 0.15
FYI in the Want-0.15 distro, the spurious(?) file ._Want.xs causes nmake
to fail on MSWin32.
