Subject: Archive::Tar unable to extract file handled correctly by gnu tar
In Debian Linux 3.0 on x86, Archive::Tar is unable to extract_archive the file: /home/mstevens/CPAN/modules/by-authors/id/R/RK/RKIES/perltk-800.022_5.005-sol7-sparc-local.tar.gz Present on CPAN. Gnu tar can list the files in this tar file and extract it without error. I have attached a typescript log of the program used and the results of attempting to untar this file. [guest - Sat May 31 17:29:21 2003]: This seems to be fixed in 1.00 as released today, I was naively assuming having installed the module within the last 48 hours would mean I was up to date...
