Subject: Error in counting tests
RT is rubbish. It took five minutes to get to this page, and now I see that the 'Broken In'/'Fixed In' fields do not show version 0.07, which is the latest on my local CPANs. Anyway, the bug is shown below better than I can explain it: lgoddard@uk-sandbox:~/ctt/trunk/t$ perl 060_attr.pl ok 1 - use CTT::Model::Attributes; ok 2 - The object isa CTT::Model::Attributes ok 3 not ok 4 - no warnings # Failed test 'no warnings' # at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.4/Test/NoWarnings.pm line 45. # There were 1 warning(s) # Previous test 2 'The object isa CTT::Model::Attributes' # Odd number of elements in anonymous hash at ../lib/CTT/Model/Attributes.pm line 59. # CTT::Model::Attributes::add('CTT::Model::Attributes=HASH (0x81619c4)', 1) called at 060_attr.pl line 21 # 1..4 # Looks like you failed 1 test of 4. lgoddard@uk-sandbox:~/ctt/trunk/t$ perl -MTest::More -e 'warn Test::More->VERSION' 0.7 at -e line 1. This might also explain why I also sometimes, under strange circumstances too complex to reduce at present, get told that I have barbled test output, with test y answering after test x. If you need more info, pleaes get in touch. I'll update to 0.08 as soon as we can see it here. Thanks, Lee

That's because you reported in the wrong queue. Test-More is a leftover from when the distribution was called Test-More. Test-Simple is the correct queue. I'm trying to get that old queue shut down as you're not the first to make that mistake. And its 0.70. Show quoted text

There appears to be nothing wrong with the above. It seems to be a proper case of Test::NoWarnings failing because there is a warning generated by CTT::Model::Attributes::add() somewhere between test 2 and test 3. 4 tests run, 4 tests no planned at the end. No problem with the count. What did you do and what did you expect? The contents of 60_attr.pl would be helpful.

rt.cpan.org generally doesn't work. Not a great advert for RT. I don't install it anywhere anymore, and don't let my sysadmins do it either. Sad. Show quoted text

You are correct, its not a great advert for RT. But YOU know better than to blame RT itself. rt.cpan.org is running on a spare dev box, not a dedicated machine, and maintained by volunteers. Do not confuse a bad implementation with a bad idea. Show quoted text

Seeing what? So far there hasn't been any clear problem reported. What's the bug?
We never did figure out what the actual bug here was. Your initial report looked like Test::More was working as expected.

We did not, since I no lnoger have the code to reproduce it. As previously mentioned, I shall re-submit if i re-encounter. And if I can remember to which queue you prefer to have it posted.

The one that doesn't have a single bug in it named "Report bugs in Test-Simple instead!" ;)

If you're going to be like that, you should proof read. :p Thanks for your work, all the same. Lee
