Hi. XML-LibXML-1.63 fails in 'make test' on Mac OS X 10.4.9. All relevant details (OS, vendor, Perl version, etc.) are included in the attached log. Experiences with past releases 1.58, 1.59, 1.60 and 1.62-001 were fine, at least regarding the installation procedure. Ok, but then this is a bug of libxml2 2.6.16, namely of the implementation of C14N. I could "work around" it by skipping the relevant tests if that version is detected, but that would only hide the bug from people, which I don't think is the best thing to do since some applications use C14N to compute signatures of XML messages. Unless you plan to use C14N for something like that, you may probably just ignore these fails. Otherwise you should update libxml2 and rebuild XML::LibXML. 2.6.16 is now considered very old and upgrading should not be a problem since libxml2 developers claim to maintain both API and ABI compatibility. -- Petr
