Subject: manpage not installed
Hi, the man page for Sys::Syslog is not currently built or installed by default, because Makefile.PL explicitly resets MAN3PODS: MAN3PODS => {}, # Pods will be built by installman. However, I can't find any other references to "installman". Is this perhaps a leftover from an old configuration, or is it required for shipping Sys::Syslog with the Perl core distribution? If there isn't any reason to reset MAN3PODS anymore, please consider removing this line. Thanks for your work on Sys::Syslog, -- Niko Tyni (on behalf of the Debian Perl Group) ntyni@iki.fi

This is indeed related to fact that when Sys::Syslog is build within Perl core, the pods are built and installed by installman, a target of the main Makefile (included in the "install" target). I'll change the Makefile.PL so MAN3PODS is only reset when inside core. Thanks for your report. -- Sébastien Aperghis-Tramoni Close the world, txEn eht nepO.
