Subject: Update man page in regard to "YEAR 2000"
Hi, this was originally reported by Helge Kreutzmann as Debian bug #370367. Quoting: --clip-- Update man page in regard to "YEAR 2000" If you look at this section in the man page, it reads a little odd: "buzzword starts flying around more and more" http://language.perl.com/news/y2k.html is 404 "the Gregorian system is going to have to be modified slightly" [1] "an offset from 1900 (which is 2 digits now" I think this paragraph should be updated to reflect that 2006 > 2000 --clip-- The full bug report can be found at http://bugs.debian.org/370367 . A working URL for the Y2K document would be http://www.perl.org/about/y2k.html , as referenced in perlfaq4. Cheers, -- Niko Tyni (on behalf of the Debian Perl Group) ntyni@iki.fi
I have modified the man page for this (and also added comments about the 2007 US daylight saving time rule changes).
