Subject: Stray file installed
I found the following file after installing Sepia: /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/._Sepia.pm "file" tells me that it's an AppleDouble encoded Macintosh file These files should not go into future Sepia distributions. Regards, Slaven
Thanks for the report. In Mac OS 10.4+, tar tries to save file metadata. For future reference, export COPY_EXTENDED_ATTRIBUTES_DISABLE=true to stop it from doing this.

Are you using "make dist"? Then it would really be a MakeMaker problem to be fixed there. Regards, Slaven -- Slaven Rezic - slaven <at> rezic <dot> de tkruler - Perl/Tk program for measuring screen distances http://ptktools.sourceforge.net/#tkruler

Yes, I am. However, IMHO it's not a MakeMaker bug because others may want to preserve the metadata, and the mere existence of ._* files doesn't hurt anyone on other systems. I personally find them annoying, so I consider it a Sepia bug.
