The only significant patch in that message is the ability to pass in '>&STDERR' (or similar) and parse pod to STDERR; since no one's complained about the lack of this syntactic sguar for a while, I assume it's not really important. (everything else is either already taken care of, like the INSTALLDIRS, or trivial)
