In Bzip2.xs, memBzip() ignores what the user requests for a compression level. Line 1779: err = BZ2_bzBuffToBuffCompress((char*)out+5,&new_len,(char*)in,in_len,6,0,240); Should read: err = BZ2_bzBuffToBuffCompress((char*)out+5,&new_len,(char*)in,in_len,level,0,240); Eric
