Subject: Regression: PERL5_CPANPLUS_CONFIG is no longer respected
Setting PERL5_CPANPLUS_CONFIG in the environment is no longer working. So it is not possible to supply a configfile via this environment variable. (The test has an empty todo section) -- Best regards, David Jack Olrik <david@olrik.dk> http://david.olrik.dk GnuPG fingerprint C290 0A4A 0CCC CBA8 2B37 E18D 01D2 F6EF 2E61 9894 ["The first rule of Perl club is You do not talk about Perl club"]

Since 0.07x we have a new config file system that scans your @INC and homedir for config files, so indeed PERL5_CPANPLUS_CONFIG is obsolete. However, there was no clear warning given that this was the case. So now, if users still have this env var specified, the following warning will be issued so they know to remedy it: [ERROR] Specifying a config file in your environment using PERL5_CPANPLUS_CONFIG is obsolete. Please follow the directions outlined in CPANPLUS::Configure->save or use the 's save' command in the default shell to use custom config files. Thanks for reporting. -- Jos
