Please could you one day add the final touch to this very useful module by make Makefile.PL check for POSIX::setsid, since it is at least not implemented on Win32. Thanks for a great module lee

Yes, of course. Since I don't actually tested Schedule::Cron within Win32 (ActiveState) can you verify, whether it works in principle with nofork and/or fork mode even on this platform ? On cygwin's perl I guess it should work out of the box. If so, I could adapt the documentation accordingly.

I just uploaded 0.97 with some checks for the POSIX module. I also tested the unit tests with ActiveState 5.6 on XP and fixed them (problems for missing alarm() which is used in the tests). Unfortunately, I forgot to check in the fix relating POSIX::setsid missing on win32. I put it now into an eval (for 0.98), but maybe it would be better to ignore the 'detach' option on Win32 completely, since it probably doesn't make much sense anyway there. What do you think ? ...roland
