There's a longstanding (= in all versions currently available on CPAN)
bug in the documentation of ExtUtils::Makemaker. The docs say:
make tardist
First does a distdir. Then a command $(PREOP) which defaults to a
null command, followed by $(TOUNIX), which defaults to a null command
under UNIX, and will convert files in distribution directory to UNIX
format otherwise.
But the variable's name is "TO_UNIX", not "TOUNIX". Since this is part
of the interface, this detail is not unimportant.
Oh, and there's another unimportant typo in the same area: "MANFIEST"
instead of "MANIFEST".
