I see that you are using Data::FormValidator for form validation.
It would be great to build a default profile based on the database
schema. For example, a NOT NULL fields becomes a required. A
varchar(100) would have a constraint addeded with a max length of 100.
The core of this work has already been done and published here:

It's really just a "sketch", though. Perhaps another design is better.
