Subject: User-supplied Licence Type
Great piece of work -- love the interactive interface. But it doesn't seem to offer the option of no licence info: maybe options to "no licence" and "see file LICENCE in your dist" or simillar? Although I do put some bits on CPAN, I'm only able to do that because of the stuff I write for my clients, who like both neatly-formed quickly-written modules (easy with yr module!) and restrictive licences....

Recent discussion on the perl.module-authors list emphasizes the importance of valid, well- known open source license modules for material placed on CPAN. In designing a general purpose tool, I have to honor that principle. If, for your own private use or your use at your employer, you wish to hack up ExtUtils::ModuleMaker so that it has a no license option, you are free to do so. But I am not going to change the CPAN version for that purpose.
