Subject: META.yml files created with Module::Install fail the spec test in CPANTS
Moin, according to http://cpants.perl.org/author/TELS, all META.yml files created with Module::Install are not according to the <a href="http://module-build.sourceforge.net/META-spec-current.html">spec</a>. I am not sure if this is a problem in Module::Install generating the wrong META.yml file, the spec being not in line with reality, or CPANTS test being busted. This bugreport is just to try and get somebody with more understanding of META.yml to investigate this issue. :)

Moin, Thomas has clarified the CPANTS tests/metrics, and the "failing" is that the generated META.yml files confirm to the 1.0 spec, but not the newer 1.2 (or soon 1.3) spec. So, while not critical, it would be good if Module::Install could confirm to the newer spec one day. :) Best wishes, Tels
