Subject: Author reports not being delivered?
I was just recently alerted to some test failures in a module that I inherited (SVN::Notify::Config) and I was wondering why I never received those failure messages generated by CPANTESTERS. Is this a failure caused by not having my e-mail address listed properly somehow (though it is listed correctly in META.yml)? Is this a configuration option on the part of the testers? Is there anything I can do to request copies of all test failures for my registered modules? FWIW, I would rather received 8 identical failures from CPANTESTERS with the automatically generated information than receive a single bug e-mail from an end user some months after a release without any useful information. TIA John

Hi John, By default, reporting a test via Test::Reporter does not generate any e-mail other than to cpan-testers@perl.org. However, T::R does expose the capability of CC'ing the distribution author. Some modules that use T::R as their core reporting facility may automatically CC the author (on failed tests). We'd have to examine the mail headers on the test reports to find out. Did the test reports in question list you as a CC? As it stands now, the best you can do is subscribe to your distribution test report RSS feed at: http://testers.cpan.org/show/SVN-Notify-Config.rss -- Adam J. Foxson

Actually, this is fine for now. I suspect it will be much easier for me to proactively monitor my modules, rather than try to convince the testers to CC me on the bug reports. Thanks!
