Subject: Text::BibTeX::Name segfaults
Text::BibTeX::Name segfaults if the name has three commas or more in it. The warning ``warning: too many commas in name (removing extras)'' is triggered and the program exits with a segmentation fault. My Text::BibTeX: 0.36. $ perl -v This is perl, v5.8.7 built for i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi (with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more detail) Copyright 1987-2005, Larry Wall Perl may be copied only under the terms of either the Artistic License or the GNU General Public License, which may be found in the Perl 5 source kit. Complete documentation for Perl, including FAQ lists, should be found on this system using `man perl' or `perldoc perl'. Subject: test.pl
#!/usr/bin/perl use warnings; use strict; use Text::BibTeX; use Text::BibTeX::Name; my $name = Text::BibTeX::Name->new('a, a, a, a, a');
This is a btool issue. I'll look into it as soon as I have some time. Note that 0.37, the version I am uploading in some minutes, DOES NOT FIX THIS. Cheers Alberto
Text::BibTeX will be refactored really soon. Hope this get fixed with that.
use Text::BibTeX; $entry = new Text::BibTeX::Entry ' @article{627401, author = {Deux et al.,, O.}, title = {The Story of O2}, journal = {IEEE Trans. on Knowl. and Data Eng.}, year = {1990}, }'; @names = $entry->names ('author'); Segmentation fault
Fixed on 0.41 that will hit cpan during weekend.
