Dear dave, Do you mind if you can a feature that I can specify the beginning date and the end date on your "Calendar::Simple" module? I would like to say thank you in advance for the consideration. I am looking forward to a favorable reply from you. Thank you. Regards, Eko Budiharto Show quoted text

Eko, I have to confess that that's not something that I'd ever considered. No-one has ever asked for it before. I think it's a pretty good idea tho' and I'd like to add it. Can you please raise this as a feature request on the CPAN request tracker (either at http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Report.html?Queue=Calendar-Simple or by email to bug-Calendar-Simple@rt.cpan.org - that way it'll stay on my "todo" list. I'm afraid, however, that I'm rather busy on other projects for the next few weeks, so this feature is unlikely to appear before the middle of September. hth, Dave... -- site: http://dave.org.uk/ blog: http://blog.dave.org.uk/
Ok. There's a new release of Calendar::Simple (1.15) enroute to CPAN. If it hasn't made it there yet, you can also get it from http://dave.org.uk/code/Calendar-Simple/ This adds a new function called 'date_span' which does pretty much what you want. Please read the documentation for more details. Cheers, Dave...

Hi Dave, When I tried to install in the XP environment, C:\perl module\Calendar-Simple-1.16>perl build.pl Can't locate Module/Build.pm in @INC (@INC contains: c:/perl/lib c:/perl/site/li b .) at build.pl line 1. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at build.pl line 1. Show quoted text

I'm afraid that I know almost nothing about Windows. One option would be to wait until ActiveState produce a new build of the module - they say they rebuild stuff for 5.8 twice a week so you should only have to wait a few days. Or you can build it by hand as you've already tried. If you want to use Build.pl then you'll need to install Module::Build first. Alternatively you can stick with the old Makefile.PL method (perl Makefile.pl; make; make test; make install) as mentioned in the README file. Dave...

Hi Dave, Thanks for your advice. You are right, I can install using build.pl. But I have to install module::build first. It is installed now, and after this I will try to use it. I will keep you inform. Show quoted text
