Subject: Wish: line-based output
I wish for line-based output, in the same format at as 'grep'. This will make text-editor integration easy, and bring me closer to Nerdvana. Mark
--nogroup Also, if you're piping, --nogroup is on by default.

Ok, then the docs need to clearer, because I read both the "-h" help and the "perldoc", and missed this. The current docs don't mention anything that sounds like one-result-per-line. Currently the docs are: --[no]group print a blank line between each file's matches (default: on unless output is redirected) I suggest: --group group matches by file name. (default: on when used interactively) --nogroup One result per line, including the file name, like grep (default: on when the output is redirected) Mark -- . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Wow, that's old. I never noticed that before. I've adopted your change. Thanks. -- Andy Lester => andy@petdance.com => www.petdance.com => AIM:petdance
