Hello,
there is a problem with weired entries in the RIPE database, e.g. the
network 15.0.0.0 is there mapped to FR (as well as in your output file),
but this is wrong, since ARIN has the authority for this network (it's
actually US)
Possible solutions would be:
(1) If a network is in RIPE and in another DB, then use the other DB as
authorative (I think you already had the problem with the IANA ranges in
the RIPE DB, which you solved with a "handicap" var).
(2) In the stats file of RIPE, there are no weired entries. Maybe you
could use this as a mask for the actual ripe database (filter out all
networks, which are not contained in the inetnum DB AND the stats file).
This way, you will get rid of the (private|loopback|public-data)
networks and the weired networks like 15.0.0.0
I think (2) is somehow smarter, since (1) might have some unwanted
side-effects ...
I hope I could help you and you understood my report :)
Keep up the good work!
Markus.
