Subject: | Bad interaction with English.pm and require |
The code below causes this error with Apple's /usr/bin/perl:
% perl -I. -MDevel::Profiler test.pl
Global symbol "$EVAL_ERROR" requires explicit package name at test.pm
line 6.
Compilation failed in require at test.pl line 2.
The error does not occur if I remove the "-MDevel::Profiler" from the
cmdline. I discovered this error in the real world trying to run
Devel::Profiler on SVN HEAD of Perl::Critic.
% cat test.pl
use English qw(-no_match_vars);
require test;
% cat test.pm
package test;
use strict;
use English qw(-no_match_vars);
if ($EVAL_ERROR) {
print "err\n";
}
