Subject: Fw: ActiveState PPM for Net-Ping
Rob,
I have ActivePerl Build 628(Built under MSWin32) installed on my
computer,
the version of PPM is 2.1.5. I tried to install the module Mail::CheckUser,
but failed,
because it asked for Net-DNS(0.31) and Net-Ping(2.24), I used PPM to install
the
new version of Net-DNS, but got Net-Ping(2.02) couldn't be upgraded with
"PPM install",
the error message is:
C:\>ppm install Net-Ping
Installing package 'Net-Ping'...
Error installing package 'Net-Ping': Read a PPD for 'Net-Ping', but it is
not in
tended for this build of Perl (MSWin32-x86-multi-thread)
I don't know if we can try cpan's force install?
Thanks
Cheng Jiang
