Subject: gnu hurd doesn't support getpeername() on UNIX sockets?
http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.cpan.testers/326863 ... The crux of which is: tests/30_loops/10_select/wheel_sf_unix...........3 caught getpeername error 1073741869: Operation not supported at tests/30_loops/00_base/wheel_sf_unix.pm line 257.
From http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/hurd.html : "The Hurd, together with the GNU Mach microkernel, the GNU C Library and the other GNU and non-GNU programs in the GNU system, provide a rather complete and usable operating system today. It is not ready for production use, as there are still many bugs and missing features. However, it should be a good base for further development and non-critical application usage." I assume they'll get around to this eventually. I have no plans to work around the problem, although I'll be willing to apply a patch.
