Subject: Incongruity in documentation
Date: Sat, 6 May 2006 19:05:11 -0400 (EDT)
To: bug-POE [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Tim Otten <tim [...] cap.american.edu>
First, a story. Second, the bug. 1) Long ago, in a far away place, I was a high school student. I worked on a small TV news program for other high school students. In one of our episodes, my friend Jay anchored. (Of course, the entire crew was constituted by high school students, although not everyone had their act together.) As a news report ended, the show returned to the anchor desk. Jay was supposed to introduce the next news report, but the video wasn't ready, and Jay had to improvise. He commented, "When I was little, my dad had big pants. [pause] You could fit a lot of cheese in those pants." 2) In the perldoc for POE, please read the DESCRIPTION up to the word "cheese": http://search.cpan.org/~rcaputo/POE-0.3401/lib/POE.pm
Cheese and pants combine to make a fine story. Thanks for sharing it. :) I've tried to address the incongruity as best I can. As you may imagine, I'm rather close to that part of the documentation and couldn't see the problem. I did share the bug report with people in irc.perl.org #poe, though, and I made changes based on their feedback. Thanks again.
