The WebService-FreeDB module is not working anymore with the current freedb_search.php script. No results are given back.

Confirmed - getting a disco overview is affected. Getting tracks of a disc (giving URL to search.pl) still works. Will look this weekend, hopefully there is an easy fix :-) THX for report, will come back

Hi, Still I didn't get it running. Since the ppm is not existing I hust grabbed the FreeDB/pm module from the cpan Webservice::Freedb -> BROWSE site (currently I just have a Windows machine here). But still I don't get disc results. When I use the Debug level > 1 then it writes "***unknown line-type, ignoring" in front of every source HTML line it found. Is there still some parsing of HTML code wrong ? I add as attachments what I executed and and the results. Thanks for your help Thomas Show quoted text

This is the pm of uploaded 0.73 fixes the bugs hopefully. The Version I posted some minutes ago is not handling the multi-entries correctly. This version here does. regards - henning

Hi Henning, I've checked once more. In the debug output I can see now a "***list element found" for the relevant entries. But still the output from outstd, outdumper and outxml says "*no disc info". But with the Data::Dumper I can see that the relevant information is stored to the hash. Could you once more check ? Thanks Thomas Show quoted text

I suppose you refer to your freedb_test.pl ? Well - a misinterpretation of the docu, I suppose. Have a look at example/cdsearch.pl - last 10 lines. ----- # 1st lets create a object ... $cddb = WebService::FreeDB->new(DEBUG=>$debuglevel); #2nd gets a list of discs, which are matching to $keyword in @fields %discs = $cddb->getdiscs($keyword,\@fields,\@cats); #3rd asks user to select one or more of the found discs @selecteddiscs = $cddb->ask4discurls(\%discs); ------ Your freedb_test.pl gives the list of discs (NOT list of tracks of ONE disc) directly to $freedb->outstd(). This is done by asking user to select one disc and retrieve track infos. You simply missed the 3rd step :-) Show quoted text

If you would like to print a "fancy" cd-list, you could simply copy my ask4discurls() method and remove the user interaction stuff. regards - henning

My example/cdsearch.pl here runs and runs ... Are you shure you got the latest Vesion 0.73 ? BTW: FreeDB.pm 0.73 internally says its 0.72. I forgot to update this for 0.73 - sorry. To be sure we are talking about the same, here md5 of FreeDB.pm 080fc4d974f0f68c374e0abade550f13 Could you try "example/cdsearch.pl --debug=3 <ARTIST> artist"?
