Hello,
Thanks for raising this bug report. I have (as of May 2014) just taken over maintainership of this module and am trying to close off the old bugs.
I confess that I have been unable to find a copy of version 2.0 anywhere and can only guess that it was expunged when the emergency 2.001 release was published.
Regardless, the current available version (2.02) does not seem to include any value for MAN3PODS and as such ought not to exhibit this behaviour. Indeed my copy of it installs cleanly on a range of perls.
Therefore, I am assuming that this was fixed at some point between version 2.0 and 2.02 and have marked this as "patched" accordingly. If you still experience the problem with 2.02, please let us know.
Thanks,
Pete
