Subject: Aliases for encode/decode
I would like to have aliases for the encode and decode functions: octets_to_characters and characters_to_octets. I really cannot remember which is decode and which is encode. Regards, Slaven

Sounds reasonable but octets_to_characters() and characters_to_octets() seems too long to use. How about bytes2str() and str2bytes() ? Dan the Encode Maintainer
