Subject: Getting rid of the huge data-as-perl files
PDF::API2 has a number of data $things, very large $things like fonts, encoded as Perl structs. Not only is this quite probably inefficient, but it's freaking out things like PPI when analysing CPAN. Just though you might like to know about File::ShareDir. This might provide an option for putting the data files in as data, in a way that works normally and everywhere and is supported back to Perl 5.004.
