Subject: Feature Request: wxperl event loop
Would be cool to program a POE App with a wxperl GUI :=) As far as I know, we need a new POE event loop for this to work. Just in case: http://wxperl.sourceforge.net/ "wxPerl is an extension module allowing the creation of GUI ( Graphical User Interface ) from Perl; it is built as a wrapper for the awesome wxWindows C++ GUI toolkit." Not only me thinks, that wxperl is (by far) the best GUI Toolkit for Perl. It is the 1. to allow you totally platform independant GUI perl scripts :P ( I'm thinking about implementing multi conn. graphical FTP/Web Clients ...) Thank you (+POE +wxperl Folks) ! -Madjer

[...] This sounds like a great idea, however nobody on POE's development team currently has the experience to support wxperl. It may take a while to learn wxperl so a new event loop can be written. If you already have wxperl experience, perhaps we can work together. Please let us know if you can help bring this feature to life. David Davis (xantus) has received a copy of a POE::Loop::Wx from Jouke Visser. Jouke claims this version was posted to WxWindows' mailing list. David plans to release it to the CPAN once he's satisfied that it's tested well enough.
POE::Loop::Wx was just released to the CPAN. Thank you for your patience. :)
