One big problem I had with the Great Restructuring was that I'd
forgotten exactly what some things did, or why they did them. This
caused a lot of needless maintenance when I thought I could do them
better this time around.
POE's guts need to be documented better, even if it's just to go through
the classes and improve their comments. However, we have the
opportunity to document the new interfaces once they've stabilized.
This will allow us to hack them more efficiently, and it may open the
guts up to third party hacking. At the very least, people will have a
better grasp of what's going on now, and in further Great Restructurings
in the future.
