Subject: explain PAUSE and add "register as new" next to login field
Probably not the right place to report suggestions about https://rt.cpan.org/, but even in http://www.cpan.org/misc/cpan-faq.html#How_report_bug_module, I didn't find a better place to do so. When I report a bug, I get <<guest - Ticket created>>. On the home page I could login if I had a PAUSE account. But no clue whether I qualify and whether that would accelerate the handling of my reports. Therefore my suggestions: 1) In the table field where PAUSE is described, have a link that explains what that is 2) Next to the login field, ad a "register new" link. What do you think? Regards Ralf

Ralf, We're about to deploy the next version of rt.cpan.org, which includes a much better authentication system and an option to use perl.org's authentication for folks without PAUSE accounts. That should help out folks who run into this issue in the future. Best, Jesse Vincent
