After compiling some hundred files with -j 4: Can't exec "distcc": Too many open files at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/PBS/Shell.pm line 101, <$to_parent> line 1523. and the build failed.

Is it possible to get some relevant information, like what you are building, what switches are in effect, what platform, etc...? Nadim.
