I'm not satisfied with the "Encoding" section in the Net::Google documentation. It describes the Google view to encoding issues, but does not tell anything about the Perl side: do I have to supply octets/bytes or characters? After experimenting it seems that it is octets/bytes, that is, I have to do the encoding myself. I feel that the module should handle characters instead. In any case, I think that either the documentation should be improved or the module code changed.
