After reading the reviews the suggestion of cutting back on the required modules seems to be a common one. For example, one reviewer writes:

I'd like to suggest Template Toolkit be placed at the top of the list of modules to be made optional. It's a big module, and is not essential to the operation of SQL::Translator.
