Subject: 1.58 says OS X 10.4 "Tiger" xml2_config is untested
If you need an unmodified installation to test with, I'd be happy to help. CPAN.pm: Going to build P/PH/PHISH/XML-LibXML-1.58.tar.gz enable native perl UTF8 running xml2-config...untested WARNING! The installed version of libxml2 was not tested with this version of XML::LibXML. - R.
