Subject: Send email notification to module authors
Some authors prefer email instead of RSS to learn about notes in their distributions. It would be possible to send email to all authors, using their public CPAN addresses, as rt.cpan.org does. However, some might not like it. Should it be opt-in, or opt-out?

Suggestion copied from http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/Bug.html?id=13568 (A CPAN::Forum request by MSCHWERN): "A simple, non-nagging way to make module authors aware of the existence of cpanforum is to send them email upon the first post to a forum for one of their modules. This email would be sent out once and only once for a given author to make the author aware of cpanforum and provide information on how to login and subscribe to their module's forums."
