We have the following bug reported to the Debian package of
Template-Plugin-Calendar-Simple, c.f. https://bugs.debian.org/964155
It doesn't seem to be a bug in the packaging, so you may want to take

With a recent upload of libcalendar-simple-perl the autopkgtest of
libtemplate-plugin-calendar-simple-perl fails in testing when that
autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of libcalendar-simple-perl
from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from testing. In
tabular form:
pass fail
libcalendar-simple-perl from testing 2.0.0-1
libtemplate-plugin-calendar-simple-perl from testing 1.00-1
all others from testing from testing

Short version of the issue: Calendar-Simple 2.00 changed to Monday as the
first day of the week.
